Saif Ali Khan On Adipurush Controversy: Saif Ali Khan’s film Adipurush had become a part of the headlines even before its release. He played the role of Ravana in the film. Made under the direction of Om Raut, this film was released on June 16 last year. Made with a budget of Rs 600 crore, this film proved to be a big flop. Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan were seen in lead roles in the film. This film had to face many controversies due to its characters and dialogues. The film had great earnings on the first day. But after that the situation was such that even completing the budget was becoming difficult. After a long time, Saif Ali Khan has broken his silence on the controversy of the film.
Saif Ali Khan played the role of Ravana in Adipurush. There was a lot of controversy regarding his character. At that time Saif had maintained silence about everything. But now he has spoken openly on this.
Saif breaks silence on controversy
In an interview given to Film Companion, Saif Ali Khan talked about the flop of Adipurush. He said- People say that this was a courageous choice. People talk about risk, but if you fall flat on your face, it’s not really a risk. You have to shrug it off, feel bad and say – nice try, but bad luck, let’s move on to the next one.
Saif Ali Khan said- I do not consider myself a star who can guarantee the success of every project. Giving an example, Saif talked about his experience of the South film Lal Kaptaan. Which was directed by Navdeep Singh. Saif said- The film had to struggle even in doing business of Rs 50 lakh on the first day. I am not a big star who can do anything.
Saif further said – It is a good thing to be practical and I have never seen myself like a superstar nor do I want to become one. I don’t want to be confused like a star. My parents were big stars but I am a very ordinary person. I think we should not be afraid of failing.
